Acting on a Value of Self-Care On-demand course
All of us at one time or another are faced with challenging circumstances that impact both our lives and work. Those of us in helping professions (particularly novice practitioners) are already vulnerable to burnout, and in need of support to adopt protective self-care practices. This may be true for you, and it may be true for those you supervise. We all can use help learning new skills and accessing resources that foster resilience, enabling us to provide effective services— and just as importantly, enabling us to connect with meaning and joy in our own lives.
In this on-demand course for behavior analysts and other contextual behavior scientists, you’ll be thoroughly exploring theoretical concepts related to self-care, along with our favorite tools and practices to promote well-being and resilience. You'll learn strategies for clarifying and committing to an overarching value of self-care, acting congruently with personal and professional values across many domains of living, and practicing self-compassion in the process. You’ll also consider how to apply these principles to your supervision practice. Every lesson has an asynchronous discussion thread to allow you to ask questions and have them answered by expert facilitators Julia Fiebig, Evelyn Gould, Siri Ming, and Rebecca Watson, and as well as an activity feed for connecting with other participants and sharing your journey.
We encourage you to sign up with a friend—partnering helps you stay on track with your intentions! If you are interested in the support of a group, please register your interest here. For customized group training within your organization, please email constellationsoffice@gmail.com.
